Parking Bays

A good option to consider for additional car, caravan or trailer parking is a gravel parking bay.

This owner was tired of ruts forming in the existing crushed granite parking area and had gravel frequently washing out onto the road after heavy rain.

We installed the SurePave system underneath Basalt gravel which will allow for adequate drainage without the washout of gravel after heavy rain. The product is built to withstand up to 700 tones of weight per m2 when installed!

Easy Care Native Backyard

The design brief for this project included defining a space for native garden beds, installation of garden soil and mulch with Corten edging; compacted crushed red granite pathways and kids play space for trampoline set up.

Front Yard Makeover

The owner of this property wanted to update their front yard by replacing the lawn with native garden area which can be planted out at a later date and a contrasting pathway to the front steps.

This required using the Kobuta u17 and tipper truck to scrape back the lawn while sparing as much of the lush top soil as possible. The Kanga Loader was used to form mounds of additional top soil for later planting and drainage channels were included to assist with excess water run off.

Formboss garden edging in 100mm Corten profile was shaped to define the pathway and treated sleepers added for decoration. Crushed granite was compacted in.

Feature limestone boulders were added on top of the forest litter mulch which turned out fantastic.

Wombat Enclosure

This is a bit of a unique project. The owners of this property required a secure wombat habitat for safely housing adolescent and adult wombats being rehabilitated in the ACT.

The job included buried metal mesh to prevent wombats digging under the perimeter, strong sleeper walls, dirt mounding and compacting to give the animals a place to practice diffing and terracotta pipe for the burrow entrance. Native shrubs and grasses were installed and Canberra blend grass seed was sewn. A shade sail was installed at a later stage.
